Simulations and Games
Round Two Award Recipients
Round II began differently from Round 1, based on the feedback from Round 1 awardees and teams. About 40 brief "Initial Ideas" were submitted in late fall 2008. "Idea" submitters participated in an information session in January 2009 to begin preparing their "Preliminary Proposals". These "PreProposals" required less preparation time than Round 1's "Prototypes", though both required a video description of the simulation or game by the proposer at the request of the Engage Faculty Advisory Group.
The Engage Faculty Advisory Group reviewed the "PreProposals" in spring 2009, and invited some to submit "Full Proposals". The award recipients were selected in summer 2009 from this group. Project development began in late summer 2009, and will conclude in June 2011.
